This is a brief summary of essential van rental information. However, please also read our full terms and conditions prior to booking. Hire Charges Include
Unlimited miles (within Devon and Cornwall) Insurance
Our insurance policy has a standard excess of £500. Should there be any damage to the vehicle or third party property, the hirer will be liable for the first £500 pounds. The hirer will also be fully liable for replacement or repair of windscreen or tyre damage. DepositWe require a refundable security deposit of £500 payable when you pick up your van. We accept cash or credit cards. Unfortunately we cannot accept Maestro or Visa Election for pre-authorised transactions. Cash deposits will be refunded up to you one week after the return of the van to our premises on the agreed date and time and in the same condition as it was let out to you, with the interior and cooking appliances clean and with a full tank of fuel. Pre- authorised transactions will automatically expire within 10 days. DriversDrivers must be 25-70 years of age and must have held a valid licence for 3 years to be covered by our insurance. Our insurance company will cover drivers who have 2 minor endorsements and /or 1 minor accident in the past 3 years. At the time of enquiry/ booking please mention if you have any of the above so that we can check with our insurance company for elligibility for insurance cover. Please note that some endorsements may result in refusal by our insurance company. Unfortunately we do not accept drivers who are undergraduates.
Non- UK driving licences may be accepted but please contact us for more information prior to booking.
Drivers are liable for all legal penalties such as parking or speeding tickets which are incurred during the periods of hire. All costs incurred as a result of these will be passed onto the hirer. Availability & PaymentPlease contact us for availability of the campervans. A reservation is only binding after it has been confirmed by Fistral Bays VW Camper Hire and a non- refundable deposit of £150 has been received. We require the remaining balance to be paid in full 4 weeks prior to departure. We kindly request that payments are made by cheque to FISTRAL BAYS. For bookings that are less than 4 weeks before departure we request that the full balance is paid upon booking. Unfortunately we cannot accept cheques but will take most major credit and debit cards. Please note that for use of credit cards there will be an additional charge of 3% which will be passed onto the customer. Debit card payments are free. Cancellation Charges
More than 4 weeks before rental start date: booking deposit £150 will be lost Collection and ReturnCollection: Day hires and overnight hires can be collected at 10am. For other bookings you will have a collection time allocated to you between 1:30 and 4:40. Having your own allocated time means that we can give you all the help and support you will need when introducing you to your van. You will need to allow 1 hour for paper work, loading your luggage and for a demonstration of the vehicle and it’s contents. Please allow the same on your return. Please note all named drivers need to be present when the van is collected, Return: The campers are to be returned by 11am. The vehicles must be returned on the date and time stated on the rental agreement. The campers must be returned clean and in the same condition as rented out to you. Any additional cleaning that is required will be deducted from your security deposit. Late returns: If you think you may be running late, you must let us know immediately as we will need to extend your insurance cover. Failure to inform us may result in prosecution for driving whilst uninsured. Unfortunately an additional charge of £50 per hour will be charged for late returns and deducted from your security deposit. PetsPets are welcome but are charged at an additional £20 per hire (maximum 2 dogs per hire) this is to cover additional cleaning costs. We politely ask that you bring your own throws and covers to protect our upholstery from tiny paws and claws. Pets must be disclosed upon booking.
Additional Extras All additional extras such as awnings or air beds etc must be requested on your booking form at the time of booking, Unfortunately we will be unable to supply these items on the day if hire if they have not been pre-ordered. |
