Lady Marmalade and Hank are original 1970’s campers which have been awoken from retirement and brought down to Newquay to enjoy the sun, sea and surf. Charlie Brown however is younger in that he was born in the 'electronic eighties' and originally from Devon! Each van is slightly different in terms of their layout and interior, yet all share that magic air cooled engine growl and have that feeling of fun to them. If you have never driven a VW camper before it may take a short time to adjust back to retro driving.. Don’t worry  you will soon get the hang of it and we will give you lots of tips to get you going.

As the vans are over 30 years old (28 in Charlie B's case - bless!) they do prefer cruising leisurely along our quiet country lanes rather than screaming along motorways. In light of this we respectfully ask you to stay within Devon and Cornwall. But hey, why would you want to go anywhere else?

Before you head out on your adventure we advise you to consider travelling light. Unfortunately a camper is not a tardis and storage space is limited. The less you take the more room you will have in the camper!

Although your van will come with all the essentials to send you on your way, we can also offer the following.

Bedding Hire

Bedding is not included with the vans as we believe most people prefer to bring their own. However if you are flying down to Newquay or travelling by train a duvet or sleeping bag may be the last thing you want to be travelling with.

We can provide bedding packs which includes; a duvet and duvet cover, pillows, pillowcases and a flat sheet.

Decorating your camper

If your planning on attending an event or festival within Cornwall then you may just want your camper to stand out from the crowd. Unfortunately we do not allow cutomers to decorate the vans externally themselves however, we can decorate the vans for you either with magnetic lettering spelling out messages or with magnetic art work such as flowers, hearts or stars.
